« Up2Date 6.834 for ASG V7 BETA | Main | ISO and Up2Date 6.908 for ASG V7 BETA »
This is just a small bugfix Up2Date for the remaining issues in 6.834 - the ASG V7 BETA version.
Its mainly a performance boost for the HTTP proxy (inclusive Anti Virus scanning), bug fix for the exceptions handling and the User Portal...
...and we fixed of course the missing graphs in Network reporting.
The Up2Date will not reboot your device, but restart all network connections!
For all details about V7 BETA und Up2Date status i would like to point you to the 6.834 announcement.
Thx!

Hi,
a short comment for your new fw from me:
- Install: easy and quick
- first configuration: easy and it works
- after few days working with ASG7beta:
* the user portal is feasible
* the GUI needs getting used to, but after a short time its logical
* the dashboard shows permanent the same stats (smtp and pop3 proxy, http proxy and treat status)- no changes
* for pop3 I use the prefetch mode. Detected SPAMS are quarantined but not deleted on the pop3-account at the provider reliably-only remarked as read
* since last night, the ASG needs a license. I took the string from my 6.303 and it works fine
Otherwise the beta works fine and it makes fun to use the new Astaro.
thx and best regards
Frank-Michael

Looks good so far, but the key feature you are missing is RSA native authentication agent support! We just met with some RSA senior management today and the said that the api is free and several hundred firewalls support it, so how about yours?
Thanks,
Gordon.

Love the new version, would like to see the SSL VPN Client as a more self-service install, similar to an active-x style download & install - Test out SonicWall's version (I'm an Astaro reseller but a client showed me the demo on their website - I was quite impressed and I'm sure that Astaro can provide the same thing!) Much easier to install off the web portal page than with the Astaro Beta.
Otherwise, I love the product!

Unless I missed it, did v7 do away with the Executive Report? That was one of the best tools I have ever seen on any device -- network or otherwise. How is that enabled in v7?
How about the live log/interface action from v6?
Also -- I like the more sophisticated look and feel of the v6 GUI skin, but the logical layout and new details on v7. Any chance of allowing the v6 skin to be applied to make v7 look more "formal"?

The new version is ok. But i'm missing the following features:
- there is no filter in the live log of the packetfilter
- it is not possible like in v.6 to start manual updates and define the interval for updates
- i can't get updates: Up2Date prefetch failed: All 1 Authentication Servers failed
(internet access is ok, only one rule allows any from internal network to any)
